Did you honor your " Mom" on Mother's Day? Did your "Mom" make a difference in the person you are today! Do you have a GODly "Mom" or an unGODly "Mom"? Pastor Holden's message was titled "Mothers Who Make A Difference"! He related and elaborated on four points: being a protective Mother, a supportive Mother, a Mother of instruction and a loyal Mother! He spoke of the great Mothers in the Bible!

JESUS' Mother Mary! As she followed her son Jesus until HE died on that cross... for you and me! Moses's Mother was another example of devotion and love! Pastor Holden spoke of his life after his Dad was killed in an accident when he and his brother Scott were really young! He honored his Mom, Diane Miller! What a joy to see both Diane and Charles on Sunday!

JUST A THOUGHT: Our Mother's showed us how to live...let's show our own children and grandchildren! Moms don't just send your children to church....take their hand and walk with them to church!! That is what our Bible tells us to do! Many of our Mothers were honored! We were asked if we had various items in our purse or Bibles! Mrs. Sarah called off the list and we had to have that item in our hands before we stood up! Our Special Mother's won great love gifts! They were: Jennifer Ellison, Patsy Blinstrup, Kelly Lundy, Jodi Shipman, Linda Fix, Diane Miller, Dana Brigalia, Brenda Southerland, Gwen Carmichael, Dolly Bedford, Patty Southerland, Kristin Mitchell, Melanie Clark and a visitor, which I did not get her name, but sooo glad you came! I was thrilled to receive a purse! A gift was also presented to Pastor wife Sarah Holden and Marcia Bratcher our church secretary! Praise GOD for our Mothers, Grandmothers and Great- Grandmother's that are serving the LORD in our church! JUST A THOUGHT # 2: Our Mother's prayers carried us...when we forgot to pray...or chose not to! Are they still praying for our salvation? Praise GOD if you still have a Mother that does! Maybe GOD is waiting on you! It is your choice! UP OR DOWN! Come join us in fighting the devil! Grow your faith among Christian friends! Walk with GOD everyday....the devil might run away!

Please pray for Dixie and Brenda Southerland, Jennifer Ellison's brother, Lawrence Coleman, Freddie and Grady Hires, our special friends in Plant City during the loss of Charles Bass, our Pastor, all the unspoken, another special friend Mary Schock, Justine Stanford and Evelyn Emory, all our Missionaries around the world, and all our unsaved family members!

Last week we saw all kinds of Pirates in our Awana classes! It was not Pirates of the Caribbean but Pirates of First Baptist! The winners in Sparks were: Ava Widdon, Alexis Powell and Hanna Holden! The TNT winner was Savanna Thompson! Congratulations Little Pirates Of Steinhatchee! The last night of Awana will be May 23rd and the Closing Ceremonies will be the 30th! There will be no Awana Program through the summer! BUT don't forget VBS begins June 25th thru 29th!! Come in out of the hot sun for some cooling times with others learning about JESUS and his love, forgiveness and grace! MAY YOUR WEEK BE FILLED WITH.....T.L.P. (tender loving prayer) When we fall on our knees........we are in the right position to pray! Together in JESUS! Sandy Coleman
