My name is Paul Nawlin. I am number nine of ten kids (5 girls and 5 boys) from Opp, Alabama. The Lord blessed us with parents that know the Lord and raised us up with the reality of knowing and serving Jesus Christ.

I was (born again) at 18 years old in 1983 and called to preach in 1984. I must confess and say these years of my life and ministry have been filled with God's blessings and grace. There have been challenges, but Jesus has been more than enough.

God gave me the young lady that was made for me, Brenda Peavy. After 32 years of marriage, 3 children (Beverly, Benjamin, and Nathan) and 10 grandchildren, we are all still amazed at God's goodness.

I pastored in Alabama until moving to Florida in 2002. 

I have been in various types of ministry; radio, TV, nursing home, schools, missions, and prisons. I am also the founder of Character Education Now.

We are excited to be at First Baptist Church of Steinhatchee. We look forward to pastoring and serving our Lord til He comes.

Hello, my name is Jim Brannan. I was born and raised in Taylor County. I Graduated from Taylor County High School, University of Florida, Florida State University, and FAMU.

I was saved at 10 and called to preach at 18. In 1987 I was given the position of minister of music at Gilead Baptist Church. For the past 32 years, I have served the Lord as Minister of Music and Associate Pastor in several different churches. For four and a half years I traveled and sang with the Cavaliers Quartet until the group retired. The past 32 years have been the most outstanding of my life knowing that I am in the enter of God's will serving Him.

Five years ago my wife passed away after an extended battle with cancer. However, God's grace and promise that we will be reunited at the rapture carried me through. What an awesome God we serve.

I have three children, Ben, Jacob, and Leah and five grandchildren.

I have been involved in several different types of ministries over the years. Currently, I'm part of the Character Education Now and Elevate Taylor with Brother Paul Nawlin. I am an active member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA). CMA is an evangelistic organization sharing the gospel with the world of bikers changing the world one heart at a time. In addition, I also teach End Time Events on Monday nights in Perry.

I am excited to be part of the team at First Baptist Church of Steinhatchee. My responsibilities include worship music, both adult and youth, leading Wednesday night prayer meeting and teaching, filling the pulpit when Brother Paul has been absent, and whatever else needs done.

I am excited you are taking the time to get to know us better. I was born a long time ago in land far away. A place called New Jersey. Best known for tomatoes, the beach, and maybe a few other things.

My wife (Karen) introduced me to the Lord before we started dating. We have been married since 1984 and have two adult children (Cory and Nicole). After leaving the Air Force, I started with Bell Labs (AT&T) where I used my Industrial Technology degree, but after eight years, God called me to be a pastor.

Since receiving my Masters Degree from Denver Seminary, we have served in churches from 100-10,000 people in various positions of leadership. I have been blessed to see lives changed as people have come to faith in Jesus and honored to equip some of the most amazing people for His service!

Our family is grateful to the Lord for calling us to First Baptist Church of Steinhatchee. It is a church with a deep history in our wonderful community and we are blessed to serve with people who love God!

When not at the church you may find me fishing on our little boat - "Peter's Faith," building something in the shed, riding our motorcycle for date night, or tracking some animal in the yard.

Hi there...my name is Marcia Wood Bratcher. My family is one of the first to come to Steinhatchee in the early 1900's. I've lived here my whole life, which is 50 something years. It was amazing to grow up in this little town. Everyone knew each other and helped each other out. It was a great childhood, my parents made sure of that.

I have been married for 26 years and was blessed with three sons. All three are married, so I have daughters as well. I am also blessed with six grandchildren. They are amazing by the way!

The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to serve as the office manager of our church about 15 years ago. I enjoy being part of the church staff and being able to  serve the Lord and our church members, as well as our pastor. My goal is to always try and be available to those in need in our town and in our church family. It is a joy to serve the Lord each and every day.
